The fabric

Warm because of air, not bulk

Our main knit is a viscose, polyester and elastane blend brushed on the inside. The brushing raises tiny loops that trap warm air next to the skin, while the smooth outer face slides under jeans and knitwear without catching.

Moves moisture away

The fibre pulls sweat off the skin and spreads it across the outer surface, so you stay dry walking into a heated tram.

Flat seams, no labels

Seams are overlocked flat and the size is printed, not sewn in. Nothing to itch at the neck or waist.

Two weights

160 g/m² for offices and layering under suits; 220 g/m² for walking the dog at –5 °C. Each product lists its weight.

Machine wash at 30 °C

Wash inside out, skip the softener (it coats the brushed loops) and hang to dry. The rib keeps its shape over the season.

How to layer

Pick the layer for your day

Heated office, cold commute

A light 160 g/m² top or the Everyday tee under a shirt. Thin enough that you won't overheat at your desk, warm enough for the walk from the bus.

Outdoors most of the day

The 220 g/m² Classic set under trousers and a coat. Add merino hiking socks if you'll be standing on cold ground — markets, matches, Kopaonik lifts.

Home and sleep

The Home set or Lace tank set. Loose enough to lounge in, breathable enough to sleep in when the radiators are off at night.

Why we started

"Every winter I bought thermals that were either scratchy, baggy at the knees after a week, or looked like something from a ski rental. We wanted one layer that behaves like good underwear."

We opened the Ušće showroom in 2022 after two seasons of selling online. Everything we list is worn by the team through at least one Belgrade winter before it goes on the site. If a fabric pills or a waistband rolls, it doesn't make the cut.

What people tell us after the first wash

I wear the black Classic set under my uniform at the airport. It's been through about forty washes since November and the leggings still sit where they should. The top is long enough to tuck in, which most aren't.

Ordered the Cocoa bodysuit on a Tuesday, it arrived in Novi Sad on Thursday. The thumbholes are the thing — no cold gap at the wrist when I'm on the bike. Took a size up as the chart suggested and the fit is right.

The merino socks are warmer than the three-pack I'd been using and don't smell after a long day. Four stars only because I'd love a knee-high version for boots. Staff at Ušće were helpful with sizing.

Measure, then pick

Thermals are meant to sit close to the skin. If you are between sizes, go down for a snug base layer or up if you prefer to wear it on its own at home. Measure over light underwear with a soft tape.

All measurements in centimetres. Bodysuits use the same chart as tops; socks come in 36–38, 39–41 and 42–44.

Questions

Before you order

How long does delivery take in Serbia?

Orders placed before 14:00 on a working day ship the same day with Post Express or BEX. Belgrade usually arrives next day; the rest of Serbia within 1–3 working days. Delivery is €3.90 and free on orders over €60.

Can I pay cash on delivery?

Yes. You can pay the courier in dinars at the daily exchange rate shown at checkout, or pay online by Visa or Mastercard. In the showroom we accept both card and cash.

What if the size is wrong?

Unworn items with labels can be exchanged for another size within 30 days. Email us or drop by the showroom. Because thermals are underwear, we can't accept returns of items that have been worn, in line with Serbian consumer regulations on hygiene products.

Will the fabric pill or lose shape?

Washed inside out at 30 °C without softener, our test pieces have held up over a full season of weekly washing. Elastane gives the rib its recovery; avoid the tumble dryer, which is what usually damages it.

Do you ship outside Serbia?

We currently ship within Serbia only. We're looking at Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina for next winter — leave your email below and we'll let you know.

Is the showroom a full shop?

It's a small unit on the second floor of Ušće with every style and size to try on. You can buy on the spot or order for delivery if your colour is out. No appointment needed.
